Hide Follow button in SharePoint Search Result Page

Question

On SharePoint 2019 Search result page, I have noticed that there is a follow button when mouse over the link page result, Is it possible to remove follow button on the SharePoint Search result page?

Remove Follow button in SharePoint Search Result Page

To remove or hide Follow button on SharePoint Search Result Page in SharePoint 2019, you have to deactivate the "Following Content" feature by doing the following:

1. Open your site > Site Settings.
2. Below Site Actions > Manage Site Features.
   
3. Search for "Following Content".
4. Besides the "Following Content", click on the Deactivated button to disable the following content feature.
   

Deactivate Following Content feature using PowerShell

You can also use PowerShell to disable the Following Content feature in SharePoint 2019 by doing the following:

1. Open SharePoint 2019 Management Shell as Administrator.

2. Type the below cmdlet with your site that you want to disable the Following Content feature

    Disable-SPFeature -Identity "FollowingContent" -Url http:/debug.to/sistes/devoworx
